By accessing, creating an account on, or using BSBL (the "Site," the "Service," "we," "us") you agree to be bound by every term below — the disclaimers, the terms of use, the intellectual-property restrictions, and the privacy policy. If you do not agree to any of these terms, you must not use the Site.
These terms apply to every visitor regardless of whether you create an account, pay for a subscription, or only view free content. Continuing to use the Site after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
BSBL is a personal modeling tool intended strictly for informational and entertainment purposes. Nothing on this dashboard — including projections, edges, picks, lineup multipliers, performance tracking, by-day grids, matchup ratings, Q&A answers, written commentary, or any other content — constitutes betting advice, gambling advice, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to place, increase, decrease, or refrain from any wager. All output is the result of a statistical model and may be wrong, biased, incomplete, stale, or otherwise unreliable.
You should not treat any number, label, color, or projection on this Site as a prediction, a guarantee, or a representation of what will happen. The model has no insight into injuries that occur after lineups are posted, weather changes after first pitch, bullpen decisions, umpire substitutions, mid-game manager decisions, or any other in-game variable.
BSBL does not accept, place, broker, transmit, or settle wagers of any kind. We are not a licensed sportsbook, gaming operator, fantasy contest provider, or money-transmitter. We hold no gaming license in any jurisdiction. We do not custody funds, process deposits, or pay winnings. Any wager you place is between you and a third-party sportsbook regulated by the jurisdiction in which it operates.
Past performance does not predict future results. The model can be — and frequently is — wrong on individual picks. Edge percentages, hit rates, ROI figures, CLV measurements, and back-test summaries are retrospective descriptions of historical data only and offer no guarantee that the model will perform similarly going forward. Sports betting involves substantial risk of loss. You should never wager money you cannot afford to lose.
Edge calculations are derived from a comparison of model projections against posted sportsbook lines and odds, both of which can change between the moment a pick is snapshotted and the moment a game starts. A row labeled "+15% edge" at 9 AM may have no edge — or a negative edge — by first pitch.
You are solely responsible for every decision you make based on information from this Site, including but not limited to:
Data displayed on the Site may be stale, missing, scraped from third-party sources that themselves contain errors, or wrong for any other reason. Always verify with primary sources before acting on anything you see here.
You represent and warrant that you are of legal gambling age in your jurisdiction (typically 21+ in the United States, 18+ in many other jurisdictions) AND that sports wagering is legal where you reside and where you are physically located when accessing the Site.
You may not use the Site to evade jurisdictional restrictions on sports wagering, including via VPNs, proxies, geolocation spoofers, or third-party access. If sports betting becomes illegal where you live, you are responsible for stopping your wagering activity regardless of whether your account on this Site remains active.

Player statistics are derived from publicly available sources including Baseball Savant (baseballsavant.mlb.com) and the MLB Stats API. Sportsbook lines, odds, and book attributions (DraftKings, FanDuel, etc.) are collected from each book's public-facing endpoints and are displayed on this Site for educational and informational comparison purposes only. The values shown may not match what is currently available at any sportsbook at the time you view this Site, and you must independently verify all lines, odds, and prop offerings with your chosen sportsbook before placing any wager. The Site does not facilitate, broker, transmit, or accept any wager based on these displayed values, and we make no representation that any displayed price is currently available, executable, or honored by any sportsbook.
BSBL is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or partnered with Major League Baseball, MLB Advanced Media, the MLB Players Association, Baseball Savant, DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, ESPN, Rotowire, or any other third party whose data, name, logo, or trademark may appear on the Site.
All third-party trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and team marks are the property of their respective owners. Use of those marks here is nominative — for identification only — and does not imply any sponsorship, endorsement, or partnership.
The model is proprietary. Inputs include per-pitch Savant data, lineup composition, ballpark factors, weather, umpire tendencies, recent pitcher workload, and other variables. The exact weighting, formulas, and tuning parameters are not disclosed and may change without notice. The "edge" figure shown next to each pick is the model's projection compared to the book-implied probability — it is not a guarantee of expected value and does not account for model error, line movement, in-game variance, or correlated outcomes across markets.
Beta tabs (anything labeled "Beta") are experimental. Numbers shown there may use a different methodology, be back-tested over a small sample, or be removed at any time without notice. Do not size positions based on beta views.
All content on the Site — including but not limited to model projections, edge calculations, picks, lineup multipliers, performance tracking data, picks-history CSVs, by-day breakdowns, matchup ratings, written commentary, visual design, dashboard layout, source code, and the BSBL name and logo — is the original work of the site owner and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, trade-secret, and other intellectual-property laws.
The site owner reserves all rights not expressly granted in these terms. Your subscription or account grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view the Site through a standard web browser for your own use only. No other rights are granted.
By using the Site you agree NOT to:
User-submitted content (Q&A questions and any other posts) remains the property of its author but is licensed to the Site, royalty-free and worldwide, for display to other logged-in users and for moderation, backup, and security purposes for as long as the content remains on the Site.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Use a strong unique password, keep your credentials secret, and notify the admin immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
The site owner may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, with or without refund, for any reason or no reason — including but not limited to violations of these terms, suspected abuse, payment disputes, regulatory pressure, or operational necessity. Upon termination, your right to access the Site ends immediately; the IP, content-license, liability, and dispute-resolution sections survive.
What a Token is. A "Token" is a non-monetary digital credit that, when activated, unlocks specific features of the Site for a stated time window (currently 24 hours per Token, subject to change). Tokens are sold in two families — Lab Tokens (unlock one lab at a time) and All-Access Tokens (unlock every paid lab at once) — and may be packaged in multi-Token bundles at the prices listed on the MLB Tokens page at the time of purchase.
Tokens are not money. Tokens have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts, are not redeemable for cash, credit, or any other consideration, and are not securities, investments, stored-value instruments, gift cards, gambling chips, prepaid access, or wagers. Token balances shown on your account are bookkeeping entries reflecting your right to consume access on this Site only. They are not bank balances, are not insured, and are not protected by any deposit-protection scheme.
Conversion. You may convert Tokens between families at the published rates (currently 3 Lab Tokens → 1 All-Access Token when upgrading, and 1 All-Access Token → 2 Lab Tokens when downgrading). The two directions are intentionally asymmetric: upgrading to All-Access carries a small markup, while downgrading is lossless. Conversion is irreversible at the moment you confirm it — the resulting balance is final and cannot be unwound to recover the original Tokens, even if you change your mind seconds later. The Site shows a confirmation prompt before every conversion; clicking "Convert" is your final consent.
Activation. Activating a Token starts the access window immediately and permanently consumes the Token from your balance. Time on an active window cannot be paused, banked, refunded, or extended after activation, except as provided by the stale-data freeze described below. Activating an additional Token for a lab that is already active stacks the window (adds 24 hours on top of the remaining time) — by activating you confirm this is the result you want. The Site shows a confirmation prompt before every activation.
Stale-data freeze. If the Site's live projection feed falls more than thirty (30) minutes behind its normal refresh cadence, every active Token's countdown clock is automatically paused for the duration of the stall. The pause begins the moment the data crosses the 30-minute threshold and ends when the feed catches back up; the time you would have lost is added back to the expiry of each of your active labs. A banner on the MLB Tokens page indicates when this freeze is in effect. The freeze applies only to time during the stall — it is not a refund, does not reset the window, and does not extend Tokens that were not active when the stall occurred. The freeze is the Site's sole in-kind remedy for stale data; no separate cash refund is owed.
Token expiration. Unactivated Tokens do not expire as long as your account remains in good standing. If your account is terminated for any reason (see Account terms above), any unactivated Tokens are forfeited without refund.
Pricing and changes. Token prices and pack sizes may change at any time. Past purchases are honored — Tokens you already own are not retroactively repriced or downgraded, and the activation value of a Token (currently 24 hours of access to the unlocked lab) will not be reduced for Tokens already in your balance. Future purchases will be at the then-current price. The Site may add, remove, rename, or rework labs at any time; in that event, your existing Tokens remain valid for whichever labs remain in the equivalent family.
Taxes. Listed prices are inclusive of any taxes the Site is required to collect in your jurisdiction. You will not be charged amounts in addition to the displayed price at checkout.
Refunds — general rule. All Token purchases are final. No refund, partial or full, is offered for Tokens that have been activated, converted, or held past the limited window described below. Reasons that do not entitle you to a cash refund include (but are not limited to): dissatisfaction with model performance, loss of any wager you placed based on Site content, lack of profitability, site downtime, lineup or odds data being stale or unavailable (the Stale-data freeze above is the Site's in-kind remedy for the latter), removal or modification of any feature, a Token being lost to account termination, account suspension following a chargeback, or simply changing your mind after activation.
Refunds — narrow exceptions. The Site will, at its sole discretion, consider a refund only in the following cases, and only if you contact the admin (via the Account page) within seven (7) days of the charge:
These exceptions are gestures of good faith, not entitlements. Refunds approved under this section are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and reverse the corresponding Token credit. No cash payouts.
Chargebacks. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer (i.e., initiate a chargeback) instead of contacting the admin first, the Site reserves the right to: (a) immediately suspend your account pending the outcome of the dispute; (b) debit Tokens of equal value from your balance; (c) terminate your account permanently if the chargeback is upheld; and (d) recover the disputed amount plus any chargeback fees the Site is charged by Stripe or its bank, by any lawful means.
Account termination and Tokens. As stated in Account terms above, the Site may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, with or without refund. All unactivated Tokens are forfeited on termination. The Site is not required to reimburse you for the cash value of any forfeited Tokens.
Bookkeeping is the Site's record. In the event of any discrepancy between your perceived Token balance and the balance recorded on the Site's servers, the Site's server-side record controls. Token balances are subject to the same "no warranty / no SLA" terms that apply to the rest of the Site; in the unlikely event of data loss, the Site will make a reasonable effort to restore balances from backups but does not guarantee perfect restoration.
Promotions and referral credits. Any Tokens credited as part of a promotion, referral, or goodwill grant are subject to the same rules above and may be revoked by the Site if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the credit was earned by fraud, abuse, multi-account behavior, or violation of these terms. See Referral system abuse below for the specific zero-tolerance rules governing referral credits.
The referral code system exists to reward genuine word-of-mouth. Any attempt to game it is grounds for immediate, permanent termination of your account AND forfeiture of all unactivated Tokens — including Tokens you purchased with real money. Activated Tokens already consumed cannot be reversed but will stop generating future access (if your account is terminated mid-window).
Examples of what counts as abuse (illustrative, not exhaustive):

The site owner reserves the right to investigate suspected abuse using any signal available — IP overlap, device fingerprint, signup pattern, email canonicalisation (Gmail dots and plus-tags ARE detected), payment-method overlap, activation timing, support-message content. The site owner's good-faith determination is final and not subject to appeal.
Consequences.
By creating an account, entering a referral code, or sharing your own referral code, you acknowledge that the examples above are illustrative — the site owner may treat any conduct that has the effect of inflating referral credit beyond genuine word-of-mouth as abuse, even if not explicitly listed here.
The Site is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no service-level agreement, no uptime guarantee, and no commitment to fix bugs, restore data, respond to support requests, or maintain any specific feature. Scheduled or unscheduled downtime may occur at any time. Data may be delayed, missing, or incorrect. The site owner is not liable for any losses arising from downtime, stale data, missed picks, or unavailability of any feature.
The Site relies on third-party services including but not limited to Render (hosting), Gmail/Google (transactional email), DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars and similar public endpoints (sportsbook lines), Baseball Savant / MLB Stats API (player data), and the user's own browser and ISP. The site owner is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or terms of any third-party service, and the Site may be partially or fully unavailable when a third-party service is unavailable or changes its API.
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, TIMELINESS, COMPLETENESS, AVAILABILITY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. THE SITE OWNER MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENTNESS, SUITABILITY, OR VALIDITY OF ANY INFORMATION ON THE SITE AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR DELAYS IN THIS INFORMATION OR ANY LOSSES, INJURIES, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM ITS DISPLAY OR USE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE SITE OWNER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OPPORTUNITY, OR WAGERS (whether direct or indirect, foreseeable or unforeseeable), ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT THE SITE OWNER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT WILL THE SITE OWNER'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID THE SITE OWNER IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the site owner, contributors, hosting providers, and affiliates from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any law or any third party's rights, including any wager you place; (d) any content you submit; or (e) any breach of your account security.
These terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Site are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the state in which the site owner resides at the time the dispute arises, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts located in that state, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Any claim you have against the site owner must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or it is permanently waived.
The site owner may revise these terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to a change, your sole remedy is to stop using the Site.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy below, constitute the entire agreement between you and the site owner regarding the Site and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject.
No waiver of any term will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of that term or any other term. The site owner's failure to enforce any right or provision will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

What we collect, where it lives, what we do with it.
All account + Q&A data is stored on a private encrypted disk hosted by Render (the cloud provider serving this site). Password reset emails are sent through Gmail's SMTP service using a dedicated app password — the email's contents are not stored after delivery.
Your account stays until you ask for it to be removed. Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity. Password reset tokens are single-use and expire after 1 hour. To request account deletion, post in the Q&A tab or contact the admin directly — accounts are usually removed within 48 hours of request.
All traffic is HTTPS-only. Cookies are HTTP-only and marked Secure in production. Login + signup endpoints are rate-limited to defend against brute-force attempts. Admin actions (locking picks, deleting picks, deleting questions, answering questions) require an admin-role session and are 403'd otherwise.
BY USING THIS SITE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS, UNDERSTAND THEM, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SITE.
